| This effect is hot...very hot! You display a large metal nail and a small piece of rubber tubing. You explain that because the tubing is flexible, you can create a strange optical illusion. You further explain that when the tubing is placed on the nail , the nail appears to be flexible too. You match actions to words, and when the tube is placed on the nail.....the nail becomes as flexible as rubber! You can bend it back and forth and in all directions! You straighten the nail back out and slide off the tube. The nail is seen to be completely solid and all may be passed out for inspection!
